Capital One’s credit card customers qualify for a $150 checking bonus. The offer is 1,000 miles for opening, and 4,000 miles for your first direct deposit. These miles can be redeemed for up to $150 in gift cards.

This offer is only for credit card customers who do not currently bank with CapitalOne. That shouldn’t affect too many of our readers considering the length of time CapitalOne has been in the banking industry.

The personal checking account does earn rewards for every dollar spent by debit card, check, or even bill pay. Until June 30th 2009, you can also earn double rewards: 20 miles for each debit card transaction, 10 miles for each check or withdrawal, 20 miles for each bill paid online.
