Chase / Washing Mutual (WaMu) are currently offering a $100 bonus for opening a new checking account. All you need to do is make an initial opening deposit of $100 and setup direct deposit OR make 5 debit card transactions within 90 days.
Normally you need to maintain a direct deposit to get a checking bonus, but this one is much easier. Your bonus will be credited within 10 business days, though it was reported that some received their bonus much faster. The monthly service fee is also waived when you make a monthly direct deposit or 5 debit transactions.
Chase is a great bank and they care about their customers. I recently switched all of my accounts to Chase after BOA messed my accounts up beyond belief. Chase welcomed me warmly and even called several times to make sure I was getting the most from my new accounts.
