Chase Bank is offering $100 to new business checking customers who open a free business checking account with an initial deposit over $500.

You can ensure there is no monthly service fee by:

• Making over 5 debit card purchases a month
• Linking the account to a Chase Business Credit Card that is in good standing
• Linking the checking account to a Chase Premier Checking or Chase Premier Platinum Checking account
• Maintain a monthly average balance of $4,000-$7,000 depending upon region

Unfortunately you can not just have a monthly direct deposit, but most should not have a problem utilizing their debit card at least 5 times a month

Personally, I’m going to take advantage of this offer today. I currently have business checking at BOA but have been looking for an excuse to switch. I recently talked to my local Chase branch about switching and they were very helpful and personable.

The Discover More Card (from… Discover) has a 0% intro APR for 6 months, and $50 cash back promotion (after you spend $600 in the first 3 months). The card has no annual fee and you can earn up to 5% cash back on category purchases.

Bank of the West is offering a $100 incentive to open a new checking account with a minimum deposit of $100. This offer is valid only for new customers and you do not have to live near a branch to qualify for this bonus.

To receive the incentive, you must make a $250+ Direct Deposit or 10 bill payments online. The free checking and choice interest checking both qualify for this offer.

The direct deposit or the 10 bill payments must occur within the first 60 calendar days, and you will receive the bonus within 60 days of completing either. Do note that you need to opt for paperless statements as there is a $2 fee for each statement!

Not a bad bonus if you live near a branch and need a new account, or if you just want to open the account for the bonus. They do have over 820,000 ATM’s and free online bill pay though.

The Citi PremierPass and Citi Diamond Preferred cards are currently available with 0% APY for 12 months, and also fee free balance transfers.

These are both excellent cards from Citibank. You may also qualify for 10,000 bonus ThankYou network points. To ensure your eligibility to receive the bonus points, open your new account over the phone (888-201-4523). Just a caution, but the Diamond Preferred card will possibly pick up an annual fee starting the the next month or so. If you call over the phone, you may be asked for the offer code (854).

The PremierPass card carries as low as a 9.24% APR after the promotional rate expires (12 months).

Patelco offers a 7% 1 year cd rate with a minimum and maximum deposit of $1,000. This is a great rate, but borderline post worthy as you can only deposit $1,000. Not to say that it is not worth opening a CD with Patelco, but their current rates are lagging behind a bit, so opening a large CD there is out of the question for me.

In the past I have seen 5.5% and 6% CD rates from Patelco, and this offer has been around for awhile and will probably be around for quite some time, so it is worth checking their current rates if you are catching this post late.
