PNC Bank (owned by PNC Financial Services) is currently offering a $75 bonus for opening a checking account and making a direct deposit. Within 1 week of your first direct deposit you will see the reward posted to your checking account.
The minimum direct deposit is $400 to qualify for the bonus. This may be an issue for readers who in the past have made a direct deposit by withdrawing money from a paypal account which posts as an ACH deposit. You will not get this bonus by just making a penny deposit! It looks like PNC caught on to that, this is the first time I have noticed a minimum direct deposit amount.
PNC is not a bad choice for people living in north eastern parts of the United States. PNC Bank is probably not a good choice if you don’t live near a branch, as there are better online banks to deal with that offer higher interest rates and better non-local services.
